About the inscenation

An extraordinary evening with Iva Bittová will offer a unique combination of musical intimacy and international artistic dialogue. As part of the May tour organised by Palác Akropolis and its partners, the concert will feature two distinct musical formations. The first part of the evening will showcase the collaboration between Iva Bittová and pianist Antonín Fajt, promising a deeply personal fusion of voice and piano. In the second half, Iva will perform with the American ensemble Chimera, featuring Steve Gorn, Timothy Hill, and Michael Bisio, marking their debut European performance with Iva. This extraordinary project combines jazz, classical music, and elements of improvisation into a captivating whole. Audiences can look forward to an unforgettable musical experience that bridges global musical traditions, improvisation, and the exceptional talents of these performers on one stage.

Chimera is an exceptional musical project uniting three accomplished musicians: Steve Gorn, a master of the Indian bamboo flute bansuri; Timothy Hill, a pioneer of vocal art and improvisation; and Michael Bisio, a renowned double bassist. Together, they create a sonically rich and emotional world that bridges the traditions of diverse cultures with contemporary musical approaches.
