KYIV GRAND BALLET is one of the most successful guest companies in the international ballet world. The beautiful sets and costumes were created by the artistic designers of the National Ukrainian Opera. Alexander Stoyanov, the founder and leader of KYIV GRAND BALLET, was a soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine, shining in numerous performances and festivals and winning many awards as a dancer. Since 2014, his young company from Kiev has enjoyed the support of audiences around the world. Due to the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the ballet company was “stuck” in Paris in February 2022, where it was touring at the time. In February 2024, KYIV GRAND BALLET will make its second guest appearance in the Czech Republic with P.I. Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece “Swan Lake” and world-renowned prima ballerina Ana Sophia Scheller (USA) as “special guest”.

Ana Sofia Scheller is an American ballerina of Argentine origin, she began dancing with the New York City Ballet in 2004, where she earned the title of prima ballerina, and in 2017 she also became a prima ballerina in San Francisco. She also performed with the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ukraine from 2019 to 2022.
